Class Afloat Scholarships

Over the past 5 years, the Class Afloat Foundation has awarded many scholarships that have helped make the dream of a school year on Class Afloat possible.

The fundraising efforts of the Foundation determine the number of scholarships and the amounts of scholarship awards given out each year.

As a guide for applicants, scholarship amounts vary, ranging from $1,000 up to half the tuition fee for a full school year with Class Afloat.

The Class Afloat Foundation accepts applications for both merit based and financial need based scholarships.

Merit Based Scholarships

Merit based scholarships are assessed on the basis of intellectual and personal achievement in terms of leadership, commitment to volunteer service, physical vigor and academic success.

Financial Need Based Scholarships

Financial need based scholarships are assessed based on a demonstrated need for financial aid in addition to the above criteria. Need based scholarships are given to students whose participation in the Class Afloat program is dependent upon Foundation support.

Who is Eligible?

Both merit and need based scholarships are available to Canadian and international students applying to the Class Afloat program in the next calendar year. For information about applying to Class Afloat go to the Class Afloat website
